There’s no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. – John Holmes
There’s no surprise that we all, at some point in our lives, need just that little bit of help, support. That support that gives you the boost of energy; that tells you everything is alright and in the end everything will be okay. It’s okay to ask for that support, there’s nothing wrong with that.
The past few months have been a whirlwind for me. I bought a house, changes at work, along with changes at work changes in my job, some friend dynamics changing, etc. That is a lot of change for anyone and can bring on a lot of stress. I’ve been told many times that I don’t deal with stress well, and with everything that’s been happening the past few months, I’m beginning to see what they mean.
It wasn’t until this past week that I realized what I really needed was just someone to offer their support; for someone to say, “it’s okay to feel like this and I’m here for you if you need anything.” Even just having someone that you care about texting you and saying, “hey! I hope you have a great day!” That can greatly impacted your mood and outlook.
Life can be hard enough all on its own; offer your support to someone every day. You never know what kind of things they are going through in their life. All they may need is just that “hey, I’m here for you” that can completely change their outlook on life.
