hello!

My name is Ren. I’m a devoted learner, loyal friend, a doting puppy dad, a hopeless romantic, self-declared wine and beer aficionado and all-around goat groupie!

I sometimes get in odd predicaments and, of course, love to make them even more awkward. I also talk quite a bit; however, when you need someone to listen to you, I’m your guy. After becoming a dog dad, Tucker (left) is a huge inspiration in my life. No one, or dog, has ever been more excited to see me when I get home from work (and I don’t care if he’s just excited to see me because he needs to pee. Excitement is excitement). I rescued Tucker from the Sioux Falls Humane Society (adoption is the best) and I think that was the best decision I’ve ever made. He truly does bring so much joy to my life!

Growing up in Aberdeen, SD and going to college at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD, one might think that I have a limited view of life. To a certain extent, maybe I do. I have had the privilege of attending a private elementary and high school, the privilege of being able to travel to Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Costa Rica, the privilege of having a loving and caring family; I could go on and on. I definitely still have a lot to see, but I feel as though I have a grasp on some things. I am always open to learning new things and to whatever comes my way. I recently have been going way out of my comfort zone, and I can honestly say it definitely has been for the better. I encourage everyone, or just the one robot scanning the inter-webs, to comment and share your point of view. Maybe I haven’t thought of a certain point of view?
